Sandstone Manor Apartments, owned and managed by Region VI, are 84 units of low rent public housing built on multiple sites in three communities within the region. All of the buildings are on individual lots. Families pay 30% of their monthly adjusted income as rent. The one bedroom units are triplexes, the two bedroom units are duplexes, and the three and four bedroom units are detached. There are 52 units in Roswell (two one bedroom units; 28 two bedroom units; 15 three bedroom units; and 4 four bedroom units). In Capitan there are 14 units, and in Carrizozo there are 18 units (6 one bedroom units; 6 two bedroom units; and 6 three bedroom units).
